Purpose of data collection
Based on your express consent (Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR)
To support the recovery process after knee surgery, a sensor unit with the activated Orthelligent app offers you the ability to carry out movement tests and to maintain a pain diary.
To able to provide you with this service, the app must process the following data from you:
Content data for identification:
- Indication (mandatory)
- Year of birth (mandatory)
- Height (optional)
- Weight (optional)
- Gender (mandatory)
- Side of the injured knee (mandatory)
- Start of treatment (mandatory)
- Date of surgery (optional)
- Date of accident (optional)
Information about the start/end/scope of use during active use:
- Activity type and time stamp
- Ongoing sensor data while a movement test is being carried out
- Result values of the tests and fit index (relative to the healthy knee)
- Pain value
Recipients of the data
The recipients of the data are technical service providers who operate and maintain our databases as commissioned processors.
Duration of storage
Your data is deleted as soon as it is transferred from the app to the app server or database. The data within the app on the mobile device is deleted when the app is deleted.
Data security
To protect your sensitive personal data appropriately from tampering and unauthorised access, we have taken a wide variety of technical and organisational precautions. In particular, we save your data exclusively in Germany in a certified data centre and protect your data during its transfer using state-of-the-art encryption methods.
Withdrawal of consent
You are able to exercise your right of withdrawal at any time without having to specify a reason and withdraw your declaration of consent with immediate effect. This is done by deactivating the app. Provision mandatory or voluntary Your consent is completely voluntary. If you do not grant your consent, this will have no adverse effect on the recovery process. However we are unable to make the app available without your consent.
Your rights as the affected party
Every data subject has the right to information under Article 15 of the GDPR, the right to correction under Article 16 of the GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 of the GDPR, the right to object under Article 21 of the GDPR and the right to data portability under Article 20 of the GDPR.
The restrictions according to Sections 34 and 35 BDSG apply to the right of information and the right of deletion.
